Mess is a gritty, bizarre, very homemade BDSM/fetish video combining committed performances with truly messy, nasty food play in a lengthy scene. A whiny, nerdy, nosy lawyer (Bob Reed) representing the "concerned" tenants of a building is relentlessly punished by a leatherman (Al Lirog) in this mostly two-player video. With a primary focus on food play (eggs down the pants, chocolate syrup, spaghetti sauce, etc.), the action also encompasses spanking, flogging, humiliation, shaving, brief fucking, jacking off, and more. A chaotic, grimy, entertaining video, which wallows in the escalating filth of the scene. This obscure S/M video was written and directed by Al Lirog and T.R. Witomski. While very underground and niche, Witomski's Katsam Productions, based in New Jersey, created a large catalog of unusual fetish tapes in the '80s/'90s, Mess being one of their earliest. (Witomski, himself, makes a brief and memorable cameo in the opening as a very satisfied bottom, released from handcuffs after a flogging.) This video's cheap, grimy aesthetics and heavy play pair intriguingly with its creative flourishes, adherence to character, and often hilarious ad-libbed dialogue (so silly that it causes one moment of both performers breaking into laughter). A chaotic, quirky, fun, and filthy grunge video that relishes in its squalor.
